WHY?
This is useful to be able to call a company contact listed to ask about the candidate or call another candidate and ask about another candidate that came up in the search. This allows you to gain a great deal of GQ and information with an internal reference about a candidate allowing you to check their integrity and accuracy of their position and duties.
