I am trying to find a way to work on documents, spreadsheets, and presentations without having to pay for Microsoft 365. I need all the core features like pivot tables in Excel, advanced formatting in Word, and proper animations in PowerPoint, not the stripped down web versions.

A couple of friends mentioned WPS Office and LibreOffice as possible alternatives, but I have never used either for serious work. How well do they keep formatting when opening or saving Microsoft file types?

I am hoping for something that is either free or has a one time purchase option, and ideally works on both my laptop geometry dash lite and phone so I can switch between them easily.

Any experiences or suggestions would be appreciated.
