How do you guys keep material waste low on site?
No matter how much planning we do I still see extra materials piling up by the end of a job. Sometimes it’s because the client changes their mind halfway, other times it’s from ordering more than we really need. Either way, it ends up costing money and taking up space. I’ve started paying more attention during the quantity takeoff stage to make sure we’re only ordering what’s needed. It’s helped a bit but there’s still waste here and there. How do you handle it on your projects? Do you measure everything twice before ordering, track materials more closely during the job, or have deals with suppliers for returns? visit our website: https://kellyestimating.com/
