With the Exelare For WIndows 1.0 release, we updated the coloring/shading throughout the software. This will help to visually separate the elements a little better. If you have the latest version installed, you should already see the changes.

why don't you try to install free coloring pages at https://ausmalbilderkinder.de/ , after you have coloring online and downloaded

I am not seeing the changes. We are using version 1.15 and everything is white.
